It gets tricky because of the 1st amendment, but what can be done about these corporately run news conglomerates? Will we ever see real journalism on TV again, or are we stuck with partisan hacks like Sean Hannity and Keith Olbermann?

1I was watching CNN today (ok, I do this every day, I am shamelessly addicted) and I was getting really frustrated. Since apparently there was no real news today, they had a ton of “experts” on asking what they “thought” would happen with Obama and the Blag scandal, how many ppl in Chicago were politic were calling their lawyers today…yada, yada, yada…THEN! It came to the Caylee story. They had more “experts” did they think the body was hers? Was the mom lawyer at the jail? and on and on. Why don’t they just wait a day or 2 for the DNA test and give us the news not a lot of speculation from ppl just as uninformed as we are.
Knight Boat…that is an awesome idea! I would pay extra for that option!

2The problem is much deeper than left leaning/right leaning.
I decided that the TV news media was worthless several years ago, when they gave non-stop coverage to Anna Nicole Smith’s death. During that time, Paisley and Adams had agreed to meet to discuss a Northern Ireland peace — a far more important story — and it only got a brief mention on the crawl at the bottom of the screen.

3Real journalism? I haven’t seen that since the 1950’s. For the past 50 years the media has been liberal until Fox News came along to even things out. So now, you have a bunch of liberals and a few conservatives. Watch all the channels and find out the info you need. Fox News will be right slanted, CNN/MSNBC are left slanted. So are ABC, NBC and CBS and PBS. You need to read ALL news sources and the truth is somewhere in between.

4I would like to go back a few years to when the reporters did exactly that- they reported the facts only. And then if a newscaster gave an opinion it was called an editorial and everyone knew it was just that, an opinion.

5Stop watching them. Go to other sources that better suit your needs. Personally, I like Hannity. I am not impressed with CNN, MSNBC, CBS, NBC or ABC for politics. They are okay for the local news.

6They should put up statistics below each commentator or guest, showing how many of their predictions have been right or wrong, and their average for getting “facts” correct.
Sort of like they do in a baseball game.

7I would just make digital cable more affordable and that is it because I believe in free speech even if Kieth Olbermanns stupid *** is on tv it doesn’t mean I have to watch it. Which I don’t.

8The market will do it eventually.
Once people realize they are being lied to they will drop the left leaning stations.
